The 1955 Society This category is a great way to demonstrate your commitment to our cause at a leadership level of $1,955.00 and above. Your donation provides you with two tickets to the Kitchen Tour and Annual Meeting Luncheon, as well as special donor receptions and other programs. The 1955 Society name was chosen for two reasons. With the scheduled completion in 2009 of our update to Nantucket's National Historic Landmark designation, important 20th century resources dating from 1900 to 1955 will now join earlier structures as contibuting to our architectual and historical heritage. In addition, 1955 marks the year that Nantucketers voted at Town Meeting to form one of the nation's first local historic districts. |
